TCU lands LSU Transfer Marcel Brooks

Benes
Back in May TCU landed their first-ever 5-star recruit straight out of high school with Zach Evans. Now, a former 5-star recruit is headed to the Fort as former LSU defensive back Marcel Brooks has transferred to TCU, according to Jeremy Clark of 247 Sports. His reason for leaving LSU is simple he wanted to be closer to his family. With Brooks mom living in Fort Worth, TCU became the obvious choice. Currently, Brooks is seeking a waiver to become immediately eligible for the Frogs. Should he get one, he would have four years to play three. Brooks was an absolute monster as a part of the 2019 recruiting class https://www.frogsteamstore.com/Penny_Baker_Jersey-204. The Flower Mound Marcus product was rated as the No. 32 overall player and the No. 5 player in Texas, and was a consensus 5-star player. He sifted through offers from Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Michigan, Texas, Oregon, TCU, Florida, USC, and more before finally settling on LSU. And he made an immediate impact when he stepped on campus in Baton Rouge. Brooks appeared in 11 games and made big plays behind the line in wins against Florida and Texas AM. You can check out his freshman year LSU highlights below . Brooks thrived in opposing backfields as an outside linebacker in Dave Aranda system, and at 6-3, 205 he could easily slot into strong safety in Patterson 4-2-5. Brooks addition to TCU defense makes an incredible group even more formidable, and gives TCU fans one more layer of desire to see this season played https://www.frogsteamstore.com/Izaih_Filikitonga_Jersey-75, in some form or fashion.
