Re: OAuth Authentication Tutorial

Owen Pahl
Hi Peter,

If the tool you are using to access the REST interface has the ability
to use a proxy, then you can record using JMeter.
Follow the user guide as per setting up recording with a browser and
configure your other tool to use JMeter as the proxy.

Cheers,
Owen

Re: OAuth Authentication Tutorial

Owen Pahl
Hi Peter,

As mentioned before, to record with JMeter set up your script as per
the directions in the JMeter user manual
(https://jmeter.apache.org/usermanual/component_reference.html#HTTP(S)_Test_Script_Recorder).
Once you have that configured you can configure Postman to use JMeter
as a proxy (https://learning.postman.com/docs/postman/sending-api-requests/proxy/)

Cheers,
Owen

RE: OAuth Authentication Tutorial

ljmwaugh
Owen,
If you are using postman why not just enter the calls directly I to jmeter similar to how you would in postman.  It is fairly simple to do.
