JMeter & Siteminder SocketException

Major, Michael T
Hi there,

I am somewhat new to the JMeter evironment, but I believe I have
everything set up correctly.  I am running JMeter 2.0.3 on Java 5.0
through a proxy web site.  I am trying to load test a login through
siteminder.  Everytime I run the test plan, I recieve the following
error:

java.net.SocketException: Unexpected end of file from server at
sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.parseHTTPHeader(HttpClient.java:684) at
sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.parseHTTP(HttpClient.java:554) at

I am using a cert to get to the website, but I know that this works
because when I loadtest the home page, Jmeter runs perfectly.  I only
have problems when I try to pass login credentials.  I also noticed that
although I specify a POST, the request tab from my listener shows a null
where a GET/POST should be specified.

I get the following from my Sampler Result tab:
Load time: 239812
HTTP response code: Non HTTP response code
HTTP response message: Non HTTP response message

Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide that may help
in solving my problem.

Thank you,

Mike Major

Here is the data from my jmeter.log that is the result from running my

Re: JMeter & Siteminder SocketException

it looks like the login requires SSL and client certificate. if that
is the case, you'll need to register the certificate on the client
side, so that it gets passed to the server.

RE: JMeter & Siteminder SocketException

In reply to this post by Major, Michael T
I'm not quite certain about the SSL & Client certs.  I am providing a
cert through the keystore property that I set in the jmeter.properties
file.  And the login request is going through an https protocol.  Are
you saying that I am missing something else?

RE: JMeter & Siteminder SocketException

Peter,

Thank you for your help.  I set the keyStore property in the
jmeter.properties file to point to the client certificate.  I also have
a keystore that contains the cert chain that I have pointed the
trustStore property to.

I still get the same error.  Is it that I am not using the
keyStore/trustStore correctly?

Thank you in advance,

Mike

it looks like the login requires SSL and client certificate. if that is
the case, you'll need to register the certificate on the client side, so
that it gets passed to the server.
