Graph Analysis

Shenoy, Srinivas
Hi,

The result graph produced by Jmeter listener has given certain
parameters which I had difficulty in understanding them. Kindly anyone
of u helps me in interpreting the parameters it's producing.  So that I
can easily conclude from that graph. The various parameters like median,
deviation, average, Throughput, latest sample. How are they related to
each other?

Thanks & Regards,
T. Srinivas Shenoy

Re: Graph Analysis

Peter Lin
average = total time/number of requests
median = the number in the middle of a set of numbers. in other words,
half the response times are higher and half are lower
deviaion = the standard deviation shows how much the response times
vary. google for standard deviation to get the equation
latest sample - is the last sample that completed
throughput - this is the actual request per minute/second

http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/component_reference.html#Graph_Results

i will try to update the docs, since people seem to have a hard time
understanding the graph.
